Hello friends,
I hope my post finds you well. I decided to have a 15 minute practice today.
Materials used.
Regular pencil
Pink Eraser
Arteza, pencils
Strathmore, black notepad
I made quick pencil sketch of a bird. It might look not perfect but I usually fix some lines when coloring.
I colored around the bird with a light blue pencil to make a background feeling. Although now I think it would be ok without it.
This is my favorite part, the bird itself. I really like this bright and colorful kind of bird. Especially in spring it’s so nice to see them being playful and happy.
Here I’m almost done with the bird. I used white, yellow, and light green for the bright feathers.
Next I color all the black parts with navy blue to see what happens. I like experimenting while drawing.
Now another fun part of the process is making the bird look fluffier. I did it with white pencil. While coloring I tried to blend white with yellow and blue and to my surprise the colors were blending so well. Yay for Arteza pencils:-)
Now adding a bit of brown to the tree trunk and the branches.
Coloring the only leaf with yellow and orange.
Adding warm red color to the leaf makes it a bit more realistic.
Here is my pencil set, I love it so much. I like how new pencils smell:-)
Here is my result. I made this drawing in 15 minutes. I think drawing is like a sport, regular exercise is the key.
