Have I mentioned how much I'm loving my inks?
To be honest I wasn't too impressed with the Tim Holtz inks when I did my swatches.
Maybe it was all too new and I just needed more time with it but after a week with them I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the quality.
I'm even liking the pearls now ~ but that's for another post.
Purples, Pinks and Golds always reminds me of the higher chakras. I can actually feel the top of my head buzzing when I look at this picture.
Black I always associate with protection for some reason. White as well. Which is weird because they're opposites. 🤷🏻♀️
I added a few drops of isopropyl alcohol on the tile, plus 2 drops of ink in the middle of it followed by another drop of isopropyl in the middle of the ink then used the hair dryer to spread the ink out.
I also used silver mixative by adding a drop of it with the pitch black ink which you can kinda see in the gif below.
Here's the edited version of the painting.
It's moody.
I think I'll do another one without Butterscotch and trades the silver mixative with the gold one.
