Hello everybody! Today I bring you a new work in Pixelart, this is a digital painting where I portrait one of the most emblematic and beloved characters of the Ben 10 series, is Kevin E. Levin. Here below I will tell you about the process done Let's start!
¡Hola a todos! El día de hoy les traigo un nuevo trabajo en Pixelart, se trata de una pintura digital dónde retrato a uno de los personajes más emblemáticos y queridos de la serie Ben 10, es Kevin E. Levin. Acá abajo les comentaré el proceso realizado ¡Comencemos!
Steps to follow:
The first thing I have done is the background. As I am making reference to the style of drawing that they used for the series Ben 10 F.A and S.A., where the cartoonists used pure colors that made this look a little flat, I resorted to the same, I only used several tones of blue. A semi clear night sky. That's the first layer. Something simple to maintain an aesthetic faithful to that of the series.

Lo primero que he realizado es el fondo. Cómo estoy haciendo referencia al estilo de dibujo que utilizaron para la serie Ben 10 F.A y S.A., dónde los dibujantes utilizaron colores puros qué hacía que este luciera un poco plano, recurrí a lo mismo, solo utilice varios tonos de azules. Un cielo nocturno semi despejado. Esa es la primera capa. Algo sencillo para mantener una estética fiel a la de la serie.
For the second layer I added the lace. Place some guide lines that will help me to decide the correct position of the character. So it will be easier for me to place it and have a proper proportion. The character occupies almost the entire frame, so it is important that it is not too high, not too low and also on the sides. So, this way I will achieve a better composition and I will be able to add an animation with this format.
Para la segunda capa he añadido el encaje. Coloque unas líneas guías que me ayudarán a decidir la posición correcta del personaje. Por lo que se me hará más fácil ubicarlo y que tenga una proporción adecuada. El personaje ocupa casi todo el cuadro, por lo que es importante que este no esté ni muy arriba, ni muy abajo e igualmente en los laterales. Así que, de esa manera lograre una mejor composición y además podré añadir una animación con este formato.
The third thing I have done is the figure. In this case, Kevin. I started with the body, adding arms, shoulders and chest. Then I went for the head, just adding some shadows, defining the length and movement of the hair and also the face. The character is caucasian, so I added just a combination of yellow and red tones, playing a bit with green. The hair is kept black.
Lo tercero que he realizado es la figura. En este caso, a Kevin. Comencé por el cuerpo, agregando brazos, hombros y pecho. Luego fui por la cabeza, solo añadiendo algunas sombras, definiendo el largo y el movimiento del cabello y también del rostro. El personaje es caucásico, por lo que añadí solo una combinación de tonos amarillos y rojos, jugando un poco con el verde. El cabello se mantiene negro.
Finally I completed the necessary details in the figure and background. I added the eyes, eyebrows, mouth, nose and gave him the necessary shadows and lights to give him some depth. I also dressed the character in his default clothing; a gray sweater with a black shirt on the outside. He has a playful, almost mischievous expression, as if he is having fun fighting his enemies and taking his victory for granted. Keep that emotion for this portrait. As Kevin is a fictional hero, you have some powers such as absorbing properties of some objects (metal, wood, plastic, stone), and for this feature I have added a shoulder and an arm covered by steel. In the background I just put some stars. I leave you with the final result, where I will leave an animation that I made from the same work.
Por último he completado los detalles necesarios en la figura y el fondo. Añadí los ojos, cejas, boca, nariz y le otorgue sombras y luces necesarias para dar un poco de profundidad. También vesti al personaje con su ropa predeterminada; un suéter gris con una camisa negra por fuera. Él tiene una expresión juguetona, casi pícara, como si se divirtiera al combatir a sus enemigos y tomara por sentada su victoria. Conserve esa emoción para este retrato. Cómo Kevin es un héroe ficticio, tienes algunos poderes tales como absorción de propiedades de algunos objetos (metal, madera, plástico, piedra), y por esta característica he agregado un hombro y un brazo cubiertos por acero. En el fondo solo coloque algunas estrellas. Les dejo con el resultado final, dónde dejaré una animación que realice a partir del mismo trabajo.

Kevin, will always be one of my favorite characters in terms of series, comics, movies or books that relate to a heroic character. I have done it as a tribute to him for the years of glory and joy that this series has brought me. I always liked that the character had such a good evolution and even became a favorite even though he doesn't have a leading role. So it's something very admirable in my opinion. But well, if I start chatting about it I think it will take a bit longer hahaha.
Without more to say, I hope you have enjoyed this work that I have done with a lot of love. It's been done for a while now, maybe two months approximately. Kevin, siempre será uno de mis personajes favoritos en cuanto a series, cómics, películas o libros que relaten a un personaje heróico. Lo he realizado como un tributo a él por los años de gloria y de alegría que me ha traído está serie. Siempre me gustó que el personaje tuviera una evolución tan buena y se convirtiera, incluso, en el favorito a pesar de que no tiene un protagónico. Por lo que es algo muy admirable a mi parecer. Pero bueno, si comienzo a charlar sobre ello creo que tardaré un poco más jajaja
Sin más que decir, espero que hayan disfrutado de este trabajo que he realizado con muchísimo cariño. Ya tiene un rato de haberlo hecho, quizás unos dos meses aproximadamente. Forma parte de mi colección de héroes a través de pixeles. Por lo que más adelante planeo traer por aquí algunos trabajos más.
