Dear Art-ist Friends,
It has been a while since I shared regularly on this community: I've been less in my art studio and more working on priorities of preparing my magical Arthouse for selling...
Some time ago, I shared a post around how I'd painted a small oil painting inspired by Da Vinci's Annunciation; it was a Gift agreed in return for a friend offering to make the technical drawings (pianametriche) for the house. He offered first, and I offered in return...
The painting was dried, packaged and shipped off to north Europe early last year, but the drawings have taken an awful lot longer to unfold.
In the meantime, I've decided that the measurement drawings which I made for my friend to work from might work as good as anything, to simply give anyone who cannot visit the house, a sense of how it all fits together.
As well as these 10 images of the individual rooms, I have context shots and overall sketches of how the rooms sit next to each other - this can be figured out 'manually' also, from looking at where each map signals which room it joins onto.
The arthouse has always been in a dynamic process of renovation! It had been abandoned for 16 yrs when I bought it, and the process of just cleaning and tidying it was epico.
My own limited skills 12 years ago, have alchemised into a certain mastery of materials in general and of the unique particularities of this house. I had to climb this steepest learning curve, as I had almost no budget - buying one bag of cement at a time as I had the €6, and certainly unable to hire a workman.
So the drawings are characteristic of how I have lived and worked, healed and grown, learned and mastered, in this incredible building. They are living drawings that perhaps give a sense of the atmosphere and quirk of the Arthouse more than a more formal drawing might do.
The drawings also symbolise my sovereignty and my capacity to do things for myself, as a living woman, rather than standing under the 'authority'(or authorship) of more conventional processes - or waiting for someone who might not ever come up with the completed goods!
It was deeply rewarding revisiting the pencil drawings and outlining them again: they reminded me that several significant alterations had been made to the house, which make it easier to map actually.
And they are a vital part of the manifestation process, in my stepping into a new life and home and way of living: if I make a small, meaningful step every day, I will keep the energy in my dreams and make it much more likely that the mystical connection will open up somehow, between myself and the future owners of the Arthouse.... Mmmmmmmmm.
