Though the piece is still undone in this state, I have added more since . In fact the red blob is a sofa with, of course, an animal on. I'll share that another day I think.
A sketch for the painting
More and more I am returning to more figural pieces
and am working on a sketch for a new piece in this vein. The shut down and odd change in our world has for whatever reason pushed me more into this figural/allegorical work I love to brood on.
I think my more fun decorative animal pieces are somewhat harder to contemplate in our current world
it is as if the sombre state has me wanting to spend my Art time in this odd future world coloured with the past.
Also being a bit blue of late with the passing of my beloved dog I mentioned in my last post.
and on that note I'll close with a shot of him, in his dotage, though he always loved Spring when I got new chicks. He was always So gentle with them.
