I'm feeling a lot better than I did in the past couple of days, and I wanted to show it in a drawing. With this in mind, I searched for a feel good reference photo and found this portrait photograph on Pinterest. Unfortunately, there hadn't been any information on who the model was or who the photographer is.
I chose the reference because it's just so cute and resonates to me; I may not look like it, but I'm a big eater. I enjoy eating so much, I feel like I am sinning really badly. At the same time, I wanted to practice painting objects (in this case, the eyeglasses and the muffin), and this looked challenging.
Drawing Cherry on Top
This had been a really enjoyable, albeit challenging thing to draw. I had always found it difficult to draw/paint mouth and hands, and again, it shows! This means more practice in terms of these two are in order.
What made it challenging to paint is the muffin. I have never really paid much attention to drawing or coloring food before! Ever.
This time, I took my time with the muffin and the muffin liners. Quickly, it became my favorite. :) It also helps that I like the colors. Fun fact: I really love beige and brown.
The drawing process follows through my last drawing, where I laid out all flat colors before coloring in detail. I used a little blur here and there, but not as excessively as I did in my latest works.
I promised myself to time the duration of the drawing, but I always keep forgetting. I assume this took somewhere between 3 and four hours. Maybe less?

Notes
I had fun drawing this especially since the mood is so contagious. I really disliked the hair, but I am so hellbent on finishing a drawing today that I just played around until it looked relatively nice.
