I have another lovely topic for you today.
How joyful is to see a small bird perched on a fence and observe its fragile little body, soft feathers, shiny button eyes! The rusty fence with its characteristic scrollwork decoration still exists, as do the rickety house walls. It's only a matter of time before they are demolished and replaced by expensive but characterless housing. Will there still be nesting sites for birds in these conditions? They nest not only in trees, but also in protected gaps between bricks.
