Today, I'm here to share with you a commissioned piece that ended up becoming really personal to me; Madame Crimson! They had their own idea of white flowers covering her eyes, but I wanted to add more movement to the piece and blew them off with a wind, putting in some ghostly butterfly figures.
~ Progress ~
Honestly, there is not much o a progress to show off. I initially planned this to be a watercolor piece, so I did my first sketches on paper, as shown;
Then, as expected, I painted it with St. Petersburg White Nights Watercolors. It's one of my favourite paints and my favourite medium. My hand always goes for it when I'm to paint something. Some tiny details were added with Prismacolor color pencils.
But apparently, they wanted the final piece to be a digital painting, just forgot to tell me their preference! So I ended up scanning the picture and painting over it using my tablet and Photoshop CC. You can see the process gif here;
So, there we go! That's how I ended up with the final picture!
