Here are my few pictures of Rangoli, a kind art of designs with the help of colored materials on the floor, made by me on Diwali yesterday.
Rangoli is an art form, originating in the Indian subcontinent, in which patterns are created on the floor or the ground using materials such as coloured rice, coloured sand, quartz powder or flower petals. It is usually made during Diwali or Tihar, Onam, Pongal, Sankranthi and other Hindu festivals in the Indian subcontinent. Designs are passed from one generation to the next, keeping both the art form and the tradition alive.

So i used the four colored sand pink, green, purple and yellow to draw my Rangoli.
Firstly i mark a huge circle and draw the pattern on the floor with the help of black sketch, then filled the pattern with colored sand by pouring it with hand.
I used the rice flour for the outline of the filled design.
