By what i have understood they want basically a mix of the words LIVE + HIVE as the example on their CONTEST POST, so i get a little bit far and designed a whole logo for the BLOCK PARTY II.

• CREATIVE PROCESS •

LETTERING

I have started by thinking in how to mix the letters "H" and "L", have looked to some fonts to try to figure out how to make a suitable mix. Looking for fonts i have found an idea at tattoo drawn based fonts. So that was my choice.

Font: Traditional Tattoo Parlour

So the deal was to mix "H" and "L", right? with that in mind i get the idea of cut the right part of the "H" and combine with the left part of the "L"

And that was the result:

LOGO ELEMENTS

Keeping the "tattoo drawn vibe" and with the Hive account@thealliance logo and their elements as a reference i started to looking for elements with kind same aesthetic.

First i found the heart:

After that i have wrote the words using the font:

And then have placed them together:

BACKGROUND

For the background i found a "audio lines" vector and have mixed him with transparency layer in a gradient BG.

Another element present on the BG is the compass cross, i know that this thing has a name but i don't know which is 😅

After putting all elements together have reach the final logo:

And that's it!

Just to remember that all elements have been taken from free sources, they can be used with credits, like i did.
