In continuation of my painting for the 'Run.exe' book. This is my third character so far. I have five characters to draw and four are traditionally ready.. I am on the third one now and I sorted them in order of their difficulty.. Lol.. Anyway I'm here now and I used did my normal shading for this instead of the usual paint Splatter brush and Smudge tool.
I first started with the outline and the hair (dreads). My outline is not too thick these days because I feel the need not to fill again. I rather scribble the base myself, I like a sketchy outline. The dread was a bit of a task for me but I still got it correctly. He was to have black full dreads which I did.
On submission, I was told to change the hair colour to brown. My thought was I would just paint the hair with a brown colour and blend the layers in color mode but the blacks underneath were to conspicuous so I had a hair do over... It was stressful and I actually abandoned it for a while before starting again.
The character description was for a guy with a bleached skin and in because of that, I omitted the extreme shadows, I just sparingly painted it and submitted but I was criticised... The depths! It was after that yell, that I saw the missing details. It was literally to shallow for a 3d art. So I started shading and shading deleting layers and adding new ones until I got my 'dream outcome
Sincerely, I don't like the guys cloth colour but it was what was needed so I made it. His name is Emmanuel' Captain' Akano. The traditional art was done by here

After this I did some lighting. I may have watched one or two YouTube videos for that though :p
