Good day guys. So yeah here we have a an Artwork for my sister. Her birthday comes up tomorrow. 12:00am GMT. And I decided to make this for her. I want to focus more on sketching and perfect the art. I've been working seriously behind the scenes on ways and methods to improve my art. I've also been looking at better artists and analysing their work.. And colors xD
I've ordered for a graphic tablet that I believe will help improve my works. Yeah, I've been sketching and stroking with my fat thumbs all along. I've gotten so used to it but I want to have a change now. I believe using a pen would make sketching easier for me.
I started out with the outline and then instead of filling directly and shading on top of it, I shaded on a transparent base. Just to get a clear view of the shadows, I believe this method works better.
I shaded the face more closely and I made sure to be critical of the transition and the blending from the dark to the empty areas
Here I completed shading the face and I erased the spilled out shadows at the edges of the outline.
I coloured it. I didn't fill it actually. I just scribbled the colour on a layer beneath the outline. I did this so I can be able to hide the outline when I'm done. I want to see how my works are gonna be without an outlines at the edges..This is the second art of such
I started shading the cloth. I used a combination of soft airbrush and Smudge Round Bristle Brush. I shared and smoothened it. That was what I did with the paint Splatter brush and I was amazed at how well it paired with the soft airbrush
You'd see more of my refined sketches here
