I remember when it all started, the undefined strokes of my little spirit. I just let myself be carried away by that strange magic that lies within all of us... A little girl emerged from the roots of the earth, her great and faithful guardian wraps her with her wings, she is half human and half tree. Inside and outside her, the elements of the earth come together and find countless furrows to flow. In each one of its mysterious corners there is infinite life that observes us.
Recuerdo cuando todo comenzó, los trazos indefinidos de mi pequeño espíritu. Sólo me dejé llevar por esa extraña magia que yace dentro de todos nosotros... Una pequeña niña emergió de las raíces de la tierra, su gran y fiel guardiana la envuelve con sus alas, es mitad humana y mitad árbol. Dentro y fuera de ella, los elementos de la tierra se unen y encuentran innumerables surcos para fluir. En cada uno de sus misteriosos rincones hay vida infinita que nos observa.
Creative Process | Proceso Creativo
This illustration had a rather tedious process, the original drawing measures 32.5 x 48 cm. I made each line in the traditional way with my drawing pencils and as time went by i wanted to add more details. I made the decision to add a little color, i love the somewhat melancholic and dark effect that this fusion between grayscale and colors produces. Finally with Photoshop i added and highlighted the lights, shadows and colors. The part i enjoy the most is playing with the lines.
Esta ilustración tuvo un proceso bastante tedioso, el dibujo original mide 32,5 x 48 cm. Hice cada trazo de forma tradicional con mis lápices de dibujo y a medida que pasaba el tiempo quería agregarlas más detalles. Tomé la decisión de agregar un poco de color, me encanta el efecto un tanto melancólico y oscuro que produce esa fusión entre la escala de grises y los colores. Finalmente con Photoshop agregué y resalté las luces, sombras y los colores. La parte que más disfruto es jugar con las lineas.
