Hey, Everyone!
I had another Art lessons where, while waiting for the students to do a task, I made some art myself.
Today it was all about color and how to use it in our art. My students were making covers for their comics and had the composition and lineart pretty much done. So it was time to choose colors which correspond with the mood and symbolism of their story.
While the kids were picking palettes, I found a picture in one of my sketchbooks. I was never confident enough to color it; I just tought that I'd "mess it up". However, I decided to scan it and then went to town with Coolors.
Oh! Have I mentioned the wonderful Coolors website? It's the perfect tool to help create color palettes and it's so easy to use! You just hit Space and it changes the colors. If you like a color, you lock it and the others change around it. You can make palettes with less of more colors AND you can pick a palette from an image.
There might be other tools like this but Coolors works really well for me. I'm really not very good with color. Have you noticed that most of my artworks are in black and white?
I feel like I owe the creator of Coolors a big "Thank you" for helping me in this thing that I'm still learning! I hope you check him out! :)
Anyway. Have you used Coolors? Was my "review" of it useful in anyway for you?
