For this #showcase-sunday I want to share a post that was a pretty cool milestone for me on Steem. This post from around 2 years ago was my first upvote. At the time I had no idea what
was or really all that much understanding of how Steem worked. All I knew was that up until this point most of my post were making sub .20 cent with a few outliers breaking $1. Then suddenly this one had $52 and 249 people voting on it.
I didn't know what a curation trail was at the time. I thought "I've finally been discovered!" lol It'll be smooth sailing from here. I'll be one of those people on trending with hundreds of dollars on my post. I also didn't know what bidbots were at the time and didn't realize everything on trending was all bidbotted up.
The post directly after this one made .09 cent haha. It was a pretty exciting time on Steem though. Getting a upvote felt like winning the lottery and it made for an interesting gamification.
This was actually a part of a tutorial that I'd made and posted on Dtube. It's gone now and unfortunately I think I deleted that original video but I still have the demonstration of the painting. The tutorial was about Photoshop brushes and how to use them, might make a good redo to redo that at some point. This painting was a 1 hour demo where I was demonstrating what could be done with the brushes I'd just talked about.
