Hello, Hive communities, I hope you are having a wonderful week. Today I share with you another drawing practice, this time, instead of drawing only hands, I also wanted to do feet drawing exercises:
Sometimes it gets monotonous to draw with graphite pencils, that's why this time besides practicing hands and feet, I wanted to practice my technique with colored pencils.
In school I was taught to shade using a technique called hatching, where fleeting lines are drawn in different directions until the shadows are blurred with smaller strokes. In graphite pencil work it is not very noticeable, but with colored pencils I think it is easier to appreciate.
In addition, I used a different support than the typical white paper sheet; this time I used reuse paper. This paper, also called cardboard paper because of its texture, was given to me by my mom () from a bakery located near my house: she happened to be shopping when she saw that they were unpacking the wheat flour packages of this paper; she thought it would be useful and asked the manager if she could give it to her.
It is likely that in their areas of residence they can also get this paper in this way, if not, they could get it in bookstores or art stores.
From the sketch to the final result I used colored pencils, so I could exercise my sense of proportion and spacing of the elements without using any base structure, or without erasing too much, since erasing the colored line is difficult. It took me between three and four days to finish all the sheets.
I liked the contrast that the colored pencils make on the tonality of this paper, I find it very interesting. Did you notice that one of the feet only has four toes? hahaha it was a mistake that I just realized.
What do you think? Let me know your opinion in the comments, or if you have any doubts or advice.
Thank you very much for your support, it makes me very happy to know that you like my work.
And if this is the first time you read me,welcome! I invite you to see some of my other drawing posts:
