Greetings, dear community, (and Hive users in general)! I hope that the week will be very useful for you, especially, because there are few days left to celebrate Christmas. I took advantage of some free time in which I was quite inspired to make this drawing, which I finished just a few hours ago and I could not resist sharing it with you immediately:
Again, I used myself as a model for this illustration; the difference lies in the exaggeration of the size of the eyes and the shape of the face. I like to look at photographs of myself as a reference for my illustrations, because my goal is not to make a caricatured self-portrait, but to play with the proportions of my face and the color and shape of my hair. I find it very fun and interesting to see the different results I can create.
Now, I will present you the step by step:
1/3
2/3
3/3
At first, I didn't intend to add any object or detail other than the sweet little girl, but as I progressed with the drawing, I had that feeling that something was missing, although I found it hard to identify what. That is, I needed to add some object that would complement and even enhance the essence of the character, instead of overloading it with unnecessary details... That's how I came up with the idea of adding these adorable little ladybugs. It seems to me that they give "the touch".
So far, it's one of my favorite illustrations, I enjoyed every part of the process, giving all my attention to the smallest detail and feeling totally comfortable with the final result. You tell me, what do you think?
