Ala

Hi all!

Today I would like to post about a movie I worked on back in 2017. It's an Indian Telugu movie called "Ala" by director Sarat Palanki.

The artwork below is the main promotional poster for the movie.

Here's the teaser for the movie. All my work was before this ever happened so when I finally got to see it it was a great time.

While working with Sarat I learned a few things about the Indian cinema scene and how different things are over there. Aside from this main poster I worked on another 17 designs that were used to promote the movie either through advertisement or social media. I also created all the logos and worked on one of the scenes in the movie creating the green screened background.

For most of these, the ideas, even the details, were communicated to me and I worked more as the hands that bring it to life than in my own creative flow.

These are my favorite of all the artworks I made in one image. Some are more fantasy and manipulated in my style, some are more like photo retouching and the latter I'm still a bit self conscious about, as it's just not what I usually do.
