Hi everyone!
This is ehm... Orc Shaman! :D Hehe I guess that's too descriptive for a name but this really was started as no more than an exercise. Later on as it happens, I went on for hours and hours working on this thing without a concept.
The whole point was for me to try and create a trading card game sort of illustration by starting with a model in Daz Studio. As always, it started with me thinking this would be simple and done in 5 to 6 hours and it ended up taking almost 10 times that. :D
To optimize learning I could've dropped it as soon as I had the most relevant things accomplished, but then I'd never have this fully rendered artwork to show...
The process animation for this one is much more comprehensive than usually. You can see the Daz Studio part as well from the very beginning, and how I built the whole scene.
The quality of the animation is a little crappy because the frames are taken from the video I made. I recorded the whole process and then put commentary over it. These things take so long to make but the few people who watch them seem to find them quite useful so I suppose I need to do commentary at least now and then. =P
That's also why there isn't a lot of commentary on this post, a lot of the more technical aspects I go through in the video, although overall it is more of a "this is my thought process when I work" kind of thing.
