Happy Monday morning, everyone! Well, yesterday I shared about my Tomoya Kanki Birthday Fan Art and for today, I will be sharing to you a special LiSA Fan Art I make every year. (I also made a Birthday Fan Art of LiSA a few days ago. Check it out)
If you don't know who LiSA is, let me introduce her (again).
LiSA is a Japanese pop/rock/anime song singer from Gifu Prefecture who is well-known for her anime songs. She has a band named Chucky before moving to Tokyo and getting a break as the singing voice of Yui from the anime Angel Beats! She then debuted as a solo artist under Sony Music Artists Japan through the label Sacra Music. She is known for her songs on the anime Sword Art Online, Fate Zero, Fate Stay Night Series, Demon Slayer, My Hero Academy and many more. However, despite being anime songs being her bread and butter, she can totally go side by side with bands and rock out a crowd at rock festivals too. LiSA is among the artists who can fit in different music communities. She can bring anime and non-anime fans together on her concerts and that is cool!
Apart from touring Japan often for concerts, LiSA has also done some tours outside her country. She has performed in U.S., Mexico, and Asia. (These are all I can remember.) LiSA have done probably three Asia Tours and one of her stops was in** Manila last June 27, 2015**. Of course, Straykat didn't let that chance slip away!!!
I bought the ticket with the meet and greet pass and until this day I can never forget the feeling of meeting a celebrity, particularly my favorite Japanese singer who is now more famous because of her song "Gurenge". Lol. I will have to write on a separate post about my detailed concert experience next time because that will be very long! But to give you a short narration about the show, I'll say it's fun and I enjoyed it a lot. LiSA talked to me during the meet and greet and I was interviewed by local anime network at the exit door.
I have always considered that night special because it was my first official concert I've went to. And so every year, I draw a LiSA fan art to celebrate her Manila show's anniversary.
Now let me tell you about my 5th anniversary fan art for LiSA's Another Great Day in Manila 2015!
The shirt she wore that night has a print that says, "MANILA". I don't know where she got that but it looks awesome! Of course, the black and pink tutu skirt and the black Dr. Martens boots! This was her trademark outfit for the past several years, though she already dropped the tutu out around 2018, I think.
Looking on the lower left, you'll see a minion and McDonald's happy meal minion set with little minions mimicking LiSA waving to the fans. The minion outside the box represents the fans' gifts while the happy meal was the local promoter's surprise gift for the singer. LiSA has a huge obsession for minions that is why most of her gifts during her shows are minions! Ah, I can still clearly recall her excitement and scream when she the happy meal filled with minions!
Even her earrings are minions!!
And her fondness of minions leads to the text above which says, "BANANA!"
I also tried to illustrate the bouquet that was given to her after the show. It has colors of red, blue, white, yellow, and green. All the colors, except green, represents the color of the Philippine flag. Cool!
I drew LiSA smiling and waving to her fans because that's what how I would like to describe her to people, a happy and thankful LiSA. She was very to see so many people in her Manila show and promised to return soon and so said, "SA UULITIN!!!"
SA UULITIN means UNTIL NEXT TIME.
5 years have passed and we are still holding on to that promise she gladly said that night. Haha! But we're not complaining!
This is LiSA promoting her Manila show last 2015!
