Hey Hive!
We're back again with another Art Attack! If you're new to the series, this is where I share my drawings and the process behind them. A behind-the-scenes look at my artwork, if you will. This is not to say that I'm very good at art, or that I'm a professional in any way. In fact this is the opposite, and serves as a reminder to how I first started, and lets me track my progress too!
Last week I started sharing about my first time doing a subathon on Twitch since I've been streaming there for a while now and wanted to do something special for September since Twitch has a promotion on subscriptions the whole month. So I tried my hand at doing a charity subathon, which is a type of livestream where every time a streamer receives a subscription, more time is added to a descending timer with various rewards after a certain number of subs.

In general, I don't like the idea of subathons or anything similar but since we're doing this for a good cause I figured it's worth it. Anyway, the main impetus behind this was I just wanted to make a graffiti wall with the names of all those who contributed and that's exactly what I did!

As a reward, I also did lots of art and drew stickers for all those who contributed 5 subs or more. I obviously didn't expect people to drop that many but I was very wrong. The response was astounding and I ended up amassing quite a bit of art debt but it was fun trying to draw stickers and they came out really well so I thought I'd share them!
For the chibi head stickers, I had templates for the donors to choose from so they could build their own chibi essentially, with different hairstyles and facial expressions. I was thinking of adding accessories too but I think that would've been too much, maybe next time.
So for one of the biggest donors who goes by Rakun on Twitch, I drew him 3 chibi stickers and he chose 2 boys and a girl with 3 different faces, so this was the first one I drew:
He even said this was his ideal hairstyle and I can imagine this is what he would look like when he laughs with that hair. Anyway after colouring, we get this:
For the second sticker he wanted another boy one and chose this very emo anime hairstyle with a bored/sleepy look.
The face he chose also came with a sweat drop which I didn't want to outline so boldly so it would stand out. I asked him for opinions on skin and hair colour and he didn't really have any and just asked me to use the same colours at the first one which I thought was quite boring so I changed the hair shade a little.
The last one I managed to convince him to choose a girl one since he already got two boys, and I do like the girl hairstyles a lot. He chose this short cut with some fringe and a neutral-looking expression.
For the colours he suggested I reference his avatar which is kinda cute and based on Albedo from Genshin Impact.
I think they all came up pretty well and I liked the different facial expressions between them at least. I'm just glad Rakun liked them because that's the most important. Here's the timelapse:
I really enjoyed doing these stickers and was more than glad to do them for all those contributed! There's a lot more to go so I'll be sharing them over the next few posts!
Thanks so much for reading!
