DETERIORATION OF MIND OVER MATTER

"Revisited", since I had posted it on Steemit 4 years ago. I linked it to my website HERE, which I had updated several times since then.
One painting, entitled “The Deterioration Of Mind Over Matter” is a frightening picture of a decomposing human scull firmly ensconced on some devilish birdcage in which the raw gore of mans physical being lies lifeless at the base. The parting flesh of the scull is secured by a trompe-l'oel safety pin. This is truly an image that could have been utilized in the former issues of “Tales From The Crypt”, in fact it brings to mind in its own scary way the imaginations of Edgar Allan Poe. The poem, “The Conqueror Worm” comes to mind immediately:
A crawling shape intrude!
A blood-red thing that writhes from out
The scenic solitude!
It writhes! - it writhes! - with mortal pangs
The mimes become its food,
And the angels sob at vermin fangs
In human gore imbued.

Like so many of my early paintings from that time, decades ago, I have no idea where it is. It was sold through my gallery in Alberta, Canada. The only record I have is from a 8x10 inch photo, which I scanned. Since posting it several times as well as using the image on some of my merchandise, it has become the most popular on my Pixels POD website, to date viewed 46,585 times.
On YouTube, List 25 included it among 25 of the most famous artworks - being the only "unknown" artists among giants of art history!
Up until just recently, this video was embeddable, but now YouTube listed it as 'restricted, for gory content' - click 25 DISTURBING Art Pieces That Challenge People’s Sanity to see it directly on YouTube (they even used my painting as the title image!).
Some years ago I got a message on Facebook that a guy even had it tatooed on his leg! As long as people use my images for their own use, I don't mind, but I had seen a few times that my work has been used for commercial projects. Since I have a very good service that keeps an eye on it - PIXSY: they send me reports, and I could get them to send take-down notices. In Austria, I am also a member of Bildrecht, where I could get free legal representation in case of such violations. I had been asked by bands if they could use my work, and one example where I authorized the use was this Heavy Metal Band:
