Hi great onchainartist, I trust everyone is doing just fine. As this is my third day in onchainart, I want to bring to us a theoritical step by step realization of my art, that is, how I do my drawings, the materials I use etc..
Doing that I bring to us a very recent commissioned art I did, which gave the recipient so much joy..
Materials USED
Sclearcard (paper used)
General charcoal pencil
Tissue paper (for blending).
Soft Brush (for skin texture improvement)
Blending stump (for small detail blending)
Monoeraser (for highlights)
And finally graphite..
How I Used This Materials.
Some one might be wondering how I used this materials to come by this beautiful piece, then not to worry, I will put us through.
First of all I made available my paper, cut it into a size I wanted and lay it on my board on the drawing-stand..
Secondly, I did my sketching, using grid line method. There are other methods like tracing, free-hand sketching, but I like grid line because it is more precise and easy.
Thirdly, the drawing begins. Now so many up coming artist have issue with the use of charcoal pencil. Let me lend a helping hands. Use 6B charcoal pencil precisely, and make sure to go in lightly when shading. After first slow application of the charcoal pencil, use graphite on top of the charcoal before blending, this will help to ease the blending. Tissues paper is best for large surface blending like the forehead, cheeks etc. While brush and blending stump for smaller surfaces like, eyelid, beards, hair etc.
For very darker faces, to achieve this you just have to re-enter and enter again the process mentioned in the third step above, that is layering upon layering till you are happy with your production.
I hope this will help in some way. Am waiting in the comment section for any line not understood, I can give further explanation. Thank you, remain blessed.
