Llegamos a la mascota 2 del Mundial de este año. Cluth es el representante de los Estados Unidos. Me encantó dibujarlo y tenerlo como parte de la colección de mascotas del fútbol. Aquí verás el proceso de esta ilustración.
We have arrived at the second mascot for this year's World Cup. Cluth represents the United States. I loved drawing it and having it as part of the soccer mascot collection. Here you can see the process behind this illustration.

Inicié haciendo el boceto, el cual consta de figuras geométricas y me ayudan a delimitar el área que ocupará el dibujo.
I started by making a sketch, which consists of geometric shapes that help me calculate the area that the drawing will occupy.
El dibujo va tomando forma del personaje mediante los trazos curvilíneos. En esta parte, sigo teniendo una mirada amplia de todo el dibujo y voy redefiniendo mas las formas específicas en general.
The drawing takes shape through the character's curvilinear lines. In this part, I continue to take a broad view of the entire drawing and further refine the specific shapes in general.
Aquí van apareciendo las texturas. Como este personaje lleva ropa y un accesorio, inicio con las partes que creo que son duras, como: las zapatillas y la pelota.
The textures appear here. Since this character is wearing clothes and carrying an accessory, I'll start with the parts that I think are difficult, such as the sneakers and the soccer ball.
Una textura distinta va apareciendo y es la de la ropa. Al tratarse de telas, deben ser mas livianas a las anteriores texturas. En esta parte, por lo general en un inicio va habiendo similitud entre ambas texturas. Por eso toca darle una 2° pasada a las áreas iniciales.
A different texture appears, that of clothing. Since these are clothes, they should be lighter than the previous textures. In this part, there is usually a similarity between both textures at the beginning. That is why it is necessary to give the initial areas a second coat.
Comenzamos con el cuerpo. Las plumas de Cluth son de 2 colores. Las partes oscuras son mas sencillas para mí para darle sombreado y ponerle texturas. También, aproveché a avanzar con el rostro y detallarle los ojos.
Let's start with the body. Cluth feathers come in 2 colors. The dark areas are easier for me to shade and add texture to. I also took the opportunity to move forward with the face and add detail to the eyes.
Van cobrando vida las plumas blancas. Para esta parte estoy utilizando una textura más delicada, como para dar una apariencia de elegancia.
The white feathers are coming to life. For this part, I am using a more delicate texture to give it an elegant appearance.
Entre los últimos detalles, veo a Cluth por completo y agrego sombras a los lugares que faltan o que son mas notorios. Esta ilustración está en movimiento, por lo que le agregué estrellas en movimiento y el pasto del piso.
Among the final details, I review Cluth completely and add shadows to the areas that are missing or most noticeable. This illustration is in motion, so I added moving stars and grass on the ground.
