This is a commission piece I did for the Art of the Genre Old School RPG Portfolio zine.
It was fun getting a chance to do a piece with an ettin. One of my first Dungeons and Dragons books was the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Coloring Album. Greg Irons, a noted underground comic book artist and tattoo artist did the illustrations. Among them was an Ettin riding a giant tortoise of some type.
And of course, I loved the David Trampier ettin from the Monster Manual
