HI HIVEANS,
So, today I decided to do a little value study. It may become a series, but I'm not sure yet.
The theme of the art is fashion. As you can see, the flow of the model's clothing has so much to say about that.
Also, I did multiple variants of the background. I was trying to create negative space with them. So, please tell me the modification you prefer.Tools Used:
- Photoshop
- Huion graphic tablet
- HP laptop
Brushes
I used sample brushes from Aaron Griffin's brush pack for 2019. If you want the brushes, Click here to get them.
So, I started with a sketch. It was a very rough one because there was no point going into details or inking.
Here, I concentrate more on the shapes and the values. Also, I used the pen tool to create the shapes, then I fill in the colors.
Then I started adding details and more values. I used one of the brushes Sample brush 9 47 to blend in the shapes. I love the texture it created.
I painted the first variant of the background here. I just wanted to create the flow of values from the darker value, down to the lighter value below.
Then, I played with the negative space here. This was my favorite.
