Today I want to present you another new practice of drawing, I have been practicing and practicing in my drawings for a long time but I had not been able to find the time to publish here until yesterday when I finished this drawing of the Red Archer, and I liked it so much that I told myself that I had to publish it here and share it with all of you, here I will leave you the steps of how I made this drawing so that you can see it:
Step 1 - Sketch
I always start by making several lines to make a kind of skeleton that gives me an idea of what he will end up drawing.
Step 2 - The colors
To give color to my drawings is what I like the most, I apply each one in a different layer to have a good order and to be able to correct any flaw in case I have it, for the skin I used light tones, then for the dress of the red archer I wanted to use a color related to the forest and for that reason I used this green that I loved.
I wanted the case of the arrows to be very similar to the leather and that's why I used that half red brown that I liked as it contrasted with the trees, and finally in the application of colors I painted the background, as I said before I wanted this to be related to the forest and that's why I painted a base of green for the forest and some lines that would be the trees.
Step 3 - Special details
With the colors well placed, the next thing I had to do was to give a little more life and detail to everything, so I proceeded to give more relief and shape to everything, more volume and detail so that my drawing would look a little more real.
I gave the greatest details of life to the skin of the archer, to her dress and to her hair mainly, this I did because it is what you see more in any drawing, but I also gave details to the other parts, like the trees, the forest and so on, which although it is in the back, is also an important part of this illustration and I could not neglect it.
Step 4 - The shadows
Finally I made the shading of all the work, shadow details to give more life and characteristics to the whole drawing, like for example in the trees that always have very specific shadows, in the hair of the archer too, and finally I also added some few shadows in the face and eyes, for this I created a lighting layer with low opacity.
Used tools
For this drawing I used the program krita for pc, the mouse of my desktop computer, and obviously my LG desktop computer
Drawing time
4 Hours the whole process
Thanks to everyone who came here and took the time to look at my drawing, I will try to share my illustrations more often around here in the future as long as I have the time I promise, see you soon friends.
