I have here today a fanart of Alice Nakiri from the anime Shokugeki no Soma or known as Food Wars
It's been so long since I was active. Well I had this sickness called "art block" but for now I wanted to share this artwork of mine that I did before because I find it cute.
It was one of the artworks that I am proud of.
This artwork was done on IbisPaint X with 9 hours and 42 minutes of working.
I'll be sharing my art process with you.
Sketch
First thing that I do is sketching. In sketching Alice, the idea was her looking cute while representing her skill in cooking which is molecular gastronomy. The idea of her clothes came from its manga
Lineart
Next thing that I do is lineart since I want a clean drawing
Base Color
The I put the base colors. You can see that the hair and the lower part of the dress was not filled fully since I erased some of it becayse I wanted it to look a bit like transparent.
Shading and Highlights
To put the color into life of course I have to do shading. It is important to add darker and lighter shades to add depth to the artwork
Background
For the background, what I did is 'add layer from canvas' then add an effect to make it blueish
Then for the final touch, I painted the background purple and erased the surroundings of character with airbrush tool. Lastly is the label which is written in kanji and English.
