Hello guys I just wanna share a very inspiring story about my life.
It is kinda long so I will have to cut in into parts. I hope you guys will like it and fill you with inspiration. So here we go
It all started way back in 2011 where I felt my life was going nowhere. I had no job, I had quit school and all I do is play games all day long. I felt like I was rotting physically and mentality. I had lost all hope and was only living for the sake of living. But then one day one of my neighbors told me she got a hold of a book called Rich Dad Poor Dad which she borrowed from her friend and wanted me to read it since she knew that I was a business minded person.

The book really helped me widen my horizons in business. What I really loved about it is where he talked about passive income. For those who don't know what passive income is. It is a type of income where you generate money without actively doing anything like working. Working is an active income since you do work related things to get money.
Once I had finished reading reading the book so many ideas popped out of my head. It was like an explosion of ideas, dreams and goals that I want to achieve in life. So I started looking for work so that I could get the capital that I would need to start my journey as a businessman. But sadly for an undergraduate like me, finding work was not that easy. I looked a place to work for a whole month with not luck. Most employers required possible emplyees to have finished at least one college degree which I don't have, but I didn't lose faith. After 2 months of looking for a job I have finally found one. It was just a part time job as an assistant web developer but I didn't mind it being a part time job. It was actually quite good for me since I can quit anytime without having any problem. All I need is to work for a few months to have my capital and I'll be good to go.
So after working for 8 months I have saved around $400 or 20,000 pesos from it and I quit the job to start my own journey in the business world. I know its a very small amount but what I had planned is to start small so that kind of amount was quite enough for me. What I did with the small amount of money I had was to first invest in an electronic loading business which was booming at that time. Everyone needs a load and by investing in that kind of business I could make a profit anytime and anywhere. So I used $120 or 6,000 pesos to buy a sub-dealer account in a famouse e-loading business here in the philippines and another $80 or 4,000 pesos to fund that account. A sub-dealer account can register an unlimitted retailers and you get a small percentage out of each retailers sales which means... Passive income but ofcourse I would also register myself as my own retailer so I can sell load too. But sadly I didn't expect that looking for retailers was not that easy but was still okay since I can just sell the load myself. Next was I bought a bicycle for $40 or 2,000 pesos, I can use this bicycle to roam around town easily. And the lastly $20 or 1,000 pesos as an initial capital for buying cigarette packs. And the rest of the money will be used as a reserve fund if ever I wanted to sell other things besides my initial plan.
Now that everything is ready and I started my long journey to the unknown. The plan was to roam around town and sell my load and cigarettes but in the first day I got a sore throat since I had to shout every few seconds to promote my load and cigarettes. So I had an idea of making a sign that would let people know as I rode my bicycle past them that I am selling load. I used a card board as the base for the sign and printed out the words "Load Here!" for the front and "Load Globe Smart (Sun)" at the back, then I tried both of the signs together so I can just wear it and done. At first people laughed at me for wearing such a ridiculous sign but after some time people actually got used to it and bought load from me. Instead of going off to a far away store they just memorized my schedule and waited for me to get past their houses so they can buy load from me. I would mostly roam around the public market, in the plaza and in the sea shore where most people spend their time. I would also roam even at night looking for wakes since it is a custom here in my country that people will gather and stay very late at night if there is a wake. And most stores are already closed passed 8pm so its my time to shine. It was a very tough but I worked really had to earn and save the money I got from selling both e-loads and cigarettes.
One of the best things of being an e-load seller is that you can sell it anytime and anywhere. I can sell it even when I'm not wearing my sign. I can sell loads when I'm riding a bus, a taxi and a jeep. I can also sell some even when I'm in malls just looking around. Even when travelling I can sell loads. When I hear someone looking for a load then I will offer my load to them and earn some easy cash. But probably the best times that I would sell a lot is during fiesta's/festivals where thousands of people gather and also during these times I would also sell bottled water since bottled watter is also very popular during these times. You might be wondering if all these effort is worth the few cents I would probably get by doing this. I was actually surprised how much I can earn by just doing this. If you're a lazyass that don't want to put any effort then this is 100% not for you. Lets just say that you earn as much as the effort you put into it. I have saved money doing this and this is where I honestly started before I came what I am today. I may not be filthy rich but I can honestly say that I really have grown a lot as a business man and as a person. I don't have pictures on the time I was doing this but I have found a memorabilia from those times that is why I wanted to share this story to you guys.
It seems so worn out right now since it has been a long time since I had used it but I'm still happy for the memories this thing has given me. I am still selling e-loads right now but I don't use it anymore since I'm not roaming around anymore just like in the past.
And this concludes the part 1 of my story guys and stay tuned for the part 2 and possibly part 3 and 4 of this story of mine. This may not look like the passive income that I was talking about but this is just the beginning of my long journey.
