So today marks a special day for me.
Not because i am celebrating anything but i have got a little story of how life have actually been on this particular day the 2nd day of june in the year 2021🤭..
In life, they say sometimes you win some and lose some but then not all circumstances will warrant you to settle for less or take chances on things that won't profit or benefit you anything no matter how the situation might be.
So it happens that last year 2nd of june i got a deal to help someone at my work place to carry out something,and at the end i had to go through alot of stress to make it a reality,
Few days before that day i also helped same friend to carry out his own work duty just because we both worked at same place ,and the funny part was that he even gets paid way much higher than me and i noticed am mostly the one available to help him cover up for him each time he needed help ,and yes i always feel that life is supposed to be measured with the amount of good deeds you do, it might just be that you being good is either for a cause or naturally you just love helping others in situations were they seem to need help.
So i did help my friend on that faithful day and it turns out that this time i was actually the one that got the benefits of what they would have given to him if he was to be around to do the work himself,
And yea the pay turned out to be huge and mind blowing ,mind you that was the very first time i ever got something for all the help and assistance i have been giving to him..
And it turns out my friend wasnt happy i was giving such deal since he haven't received something that huge even when he is available to do the work himself .
And so when i told him about it ,his first request was that i should give him ,later on he wanted to split it and at the end he asked me to give him 70% since it was his line of duty and i was only opportune to use his office in getting such favour,
At first i was willing to share with him but then the way he was persistent and commanding towards it wasnt cool to me at all ,he didnt even thank me for helping him keep his job rather he was asking why i spent part of the money rather than waiting for him to come and collect his share,
He have never giving me benefit of any doubt of all the other times i have helped him ,like we have worked there for almost 4years and each time i am always the one covering for him just because we are both friends , and i never asked for anything in return either.
The one time i needed his help he wasnt even available self .
Crazy world though, people and self entitlement is just amazing and crazy even when they know you stand nothing to gain all they usually care is just themselves and what they will benefit from you..
As for my friend i just told him as long as he keeps asking for my help to assist him keep his job ,what ever benefits that comes from it that is not his salary i am going to keep it for myself if he doesn't want to do his work and expect me to do both mine and his own .
And if he doesnt want that he can as well just focus on his job and avoid asking me for help so i that won't come and take what ever benefits he is getting from there..
Reality of life sometimes is that ,
you cant always eat your cake and still have it🙃🙃
