New week, new friday tournament in Hivechess sponsored by the chess community and that being week after week a place where winning seems almost a utopia, I of course have problems every time we are playing blitz and the big players start to use the berserk, I can not keep up with them so I prefer to play from behind, think as much as possible my games and take advantage of some gaps left by the big fish above, although in this tournament is not that I have gone excellent, a lot of good level in this tournament.
As always this post is configured to support with 10% of the winnings to the final prize pot of the chess tournament season in Hive, I also urge all those who put their analysis in the community to also contribute with a small percentage of their post to the cause, after all these small gestures is that we all benefit and keep interesting and competitive tournaments!
Complicated position vs. jaki01
Lately I'm not doing too well against the elite players of Hivechess but this time I could harvest a victory (by time) against Jaki01 in a very close and doubtful position until the end, I managed to reach an advantage of two pawns but the end with rooks complicated me a bit the game by the advanced pawn of my opponent.
It' s a bit complicated to see but the white pieces should win with a correct game, maybe sacrifice the rook to prevent the passage of the pawn and bet everything on the three remaining pawns.
battling against the beast vs. sawkito
Games against sawkito are always special, I have been able to beat him on rare occasions but recently I am experiencing a rough patch especially after I failed to convert a middlegame where I felt I had a minimal advantage, analyzing afterwards I realized that breaking the center at this point with d5?? was a greasy mistake that would give the black pieces a chance to liquidate my position.
Maybe in the early stages of the middlegame I was solid and I could even force an advantage but in the rest of the game sawkito swept me away, I was not able to convert my position and even worse I sank even more with the moves I made on the board.
hitting the bottom vs. tony1294
There is not much to analyze here because with a mistake in the opening was that the game ended, but this match made me realize that I was very worn out, I did not see the moves or the threats that my opponent had and in general that's why I was always in an unfavorable position, I only put this game to emphasize that I'm not playing my best chess for a few weeks.
With the move Qb3+ the game is over, I have given away my queen on other occasions and it is frustrating but in the opening I feel I need a better plan for tournaments to come .
berserking vs. lighteye
Here I was already using berserk to gain some points and not be so far behind in the general table, I could reach an advantage with one piece more and transform this position in a favorable ending for me, there is not much more to say, these are the games that I have to win in a mandatory and fast way if I want to be in the top of the table.
I have one rook too many so the position is based on simplifying all the pieces on the board, this way everything will be much more manageable and I could turn this into an easy win.
Final Review
I'm living a strange stage in my chess, both this tournament and last Friday were not the best I could play and that was seen by far, I think I have to return to my training routine or at least solve some problems of tactics and read a couple more openings, it is also true that the format of these tournaments and the time that is played is affecting me a little, I'm not someone who is very used to play blitz without increase or with very low times as sometimes happens with the berserk so I also have to polish this. still it has been quite fun as always!

Yeey you made it to the end of the post :) thanks for joining me today!
