Greetings, chess community! Today I want to share a very special experience I had during my workday. I recently learned that a morning shift teacher had donated three chess sets—incredibly beautiful! Here they are; they are three enormous sets, complete with all their pieces.
It filled me with joy to know that there are students who love and adore chess, and several of those students belong to my class in my fourth-year high school section. During our two free hours, dedicated to discussing family life, I discovered that most of them are fascinated by chess.
I took advantage of the opportunity, went to the library, and borrowed three sets. The afternoon we spent together was wonderful: I played with them, and they enjoyed playing with each other. Some are just starting to learn, and seeing their enthusiasm was truly fantastic.
Chess is much more than just a game; it has great importance in our students' education. It fosters skills such as concentration, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Furthermore, it promotes patience and discipline, essential elements for their personal and academic development.
I was very happy to share this experience with my colleagues and students, and I hope we continue to promote chess as a valuable tool in their education. Thank you all for joining me in this enjoyable experience.
