I played multiple games tody on chess.com, but I decided to post this particular game because it has some very interesting positions that I never saw before.
I was playing black and lost in the end because I made a miscalculation when I was defending my King form the attack of the white Queen.
The game started with the classical giuoco piano, I think one of the most played for beginners and intermediate players.
My opponent was slightly ahead but I was trying a way to get to check his King, or at least to develop my pieces in a more aggressive way.
On move 27 I made the mistake that decided the game: he had his Queen backed up by the Rook ready to attack my King, I thought it would have been soon checkmate and moved pawn to g6, while the best move was bishop to f5, maybe I was governed by fear but i wasn't at all risking a checkmate.
From there on I was down a Bishop and witn little time left and lost the game for checkmate on move 42
See you next time.
