Happy first Sunday of April, I hope this month is productive and of great achievements for everyone.
Today I want to write about the completion of the Online Course of preparation of Teachers for the FIDE School Instructor Title of the Chess Commission in Education, Commission where I was able to participate last weekend on March 28, 29 and 30. Along with me, 21 other participants from different countries such as Argentina, Ecuador, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic. Many of them coaches for many years in chess clubs and also chess teachers in schools. The speakers were José Francisco Suárez Roa from Spain and Francisco José Cruz Arce from Puerto Rico.
The course is designed to equip educators with innovative and creative methods to develop academic and 21st century skills, using chess as an educational tool. After finishing the course our way of seeing chess in the academy activities took a 360-degree turn, most of the participants changed our way of seeing chess in education, since thanks to the course we were able to learn about how to teach chess in the classrooms with new tools and techniques that will surely serve us for the good of future chess players.

Hoy quiero escribir acerca de la realización del Curso Online de preparación de Maestros para el Título de Instructor Escolar FIDE de la comisión de ajedrez en Educación, Comisión donde pude participar el pasado fin de semana los días 28, 29 y 30 de marzo. Junto a mí otros 21 participantes de diferentes países como Argentina, Ecuador, México, Puerto Rico, República Dominicana. Muchos de ellos entrenadores en clubes y otros profesores de ajedrez en escuelas.
Los conferencistas fueron José Francisco Suárez Roa de España y Francisco José Cruz Arce de Puerto Rico.
El curso está diseñado para equipar a los educadores con métodos innovadores y creativos para desarrollar habilidades académicas y del siglo XXI, utilizando el ajedrez como herramienta educativa. Después de terminar el curso nuestra forma de ver el ajedrez en las actividades academias dio un giro de 360 grados, la mayoría de los participantes cambiamos nuestra manera de ver el ajedrez en la educación, ya que gracias al curso pudimos aprender acerca de la forma de impartir el ajedrez en las aulas de clases con nuevas herramientas y técnicas que seguro nos servirán para el bien de los futuros ajedrecistas.
