Fire on Fire in the Chess Community.
Greeting Hiveans and Chess Community
I didn't expect to still have enough stamina to play two tournaments back-to-back… but somehow we ended up on fire.
On Friday we started Season 22 of the Friday Hive Chess Tournament. After months of waiting, S22 came. I was so glad when I read about the announcement on post.
It was more interesting to read that there was a challengers tournament and masters tournament based on the players rating.
I enjoyed myself in the first round and secured the second place 🥈
It didn't end there guys. Saturday Chess Arena organized by took place the following day(Saturday) and it was equally a blast 🚀. Maybe it's cos I was on fire with the winnings 😹 but I enjoyed playing both tournaments.
It's great that games like this exist on the blockchain. It brings we human beings together. When a sport is involved, things like race, skin colour, political beliefs don't matter anymore. it's all just about enjoying ourselves and I love that.
We'll look at some games played on Saturday

Game Highlights and In-Depth Analysis
Round Fixtures:
♜ JUST_OLA VS AJEDREZCLUB2T
My First win was against AJEDREZCLUB2T. I was surprised to see him because he hasn't been on the tournaments for a while now. I played White and opened with the Caro-Kann Defense. I initially got frustrated cos I missed a pawn on e5(move 11). Both players kept playing with grit but Black made a blunder which resulted to fork on his Queen and Rook which made him resign and White won the round

♜ ENIOLW VS ODNOOBRAZ
These two players are often topping the leaderboard and it's great the algorithm decided to pair them. I could see what Eniolw did there. He dominated the center early and tried to make his opponent run against time. Black was being attacked aggressively and White often played moves might not be totally accurate in order to have an advantage with the timer
