This time we faced a very difficult opening. The Caro-Kann defense with the advance variant, and here with the Tal variation, which is very aggressive with h4 and should be answered with h5. My post came out an hour before the start of the tournament, so there was no time to prepare properly. With Black I had tried two systems, h5 and Qa5+, both with modest success. With White, I couldn't think of anything better than to swap bishops immediately and then see what happens.

Dieses Mal hatten wir mit einer sehr schwierigen Eröffnung zu tun. Die Caro-Kann Verteidigung mit der Vorstoßvariante, und hier mit der Tal Variation die mit h4 sehr agressiv ist und mit h5 beantwortet werden sollte. Mein Post kam eine Stunde vor Beginn des Turniers raus und somit blieb keine Zeit um sich gründlich vorzubereiten. Mit Schwarz hatte ich zwei Systeme versucht, h5 und Da5+, beide mit bescheidenem Erfolg. Mit Weiß fiel mit nichts besseres ein als die Läufer sofort abzutauschen und dann zu sehen was passiert.
