This time it is something better for me compared to the last time. I finished in 4th place with a lot of blunders that I was lucky to escape. I didn't play well but fortune smiled on me with a lot of escape from the lions in the playing fide. Even the game with the International Master with long username that was supposed to end in draw, turned out bad for me when I used my queen to block a check that was already bad for me.
A position that was already draw but that is what time pressure can do to you. It was a win rate of 50% for me, which that is a 50% loss as well. It didn't take much to realize when I was outplayed by other players especially Jaki and the International master, and before I forget stayoutoftherz was on fire today. I could only get a win from him in one game, while the other games where bad for me.
In this game against stayoutoftherz, I do not understand how things got some sterile for me. It was as if nothing was going on and no matter what I did the position just got bad for me. Starting off first with the binding in the position and then moving over to the lock and keep. I literally stayed in a specific position where I could not do anything. You know that moment in the game where you know you are bad. It is when you are looking for moves to make but you are run out of them and for some reason you do not know what to do. This is exactly what it felt like and I did not need to be told that my position was the inferior one. Once you notice that you are the one struggling to find the best move, just know you are most likely the one with the inferior or better still worst position.
This is the position I had against the International master and it was the only position against the player that I stood a chance. Others were bad for me but this one was different but for some reason I have a better endgame but sadly time was not on my side. This is what it looks like when you have the world but you do not have the time to enjoy it. Well that was my case in this situation. I could not cry more than I did because it was a good position against a stronger player and he is the one that one the tournament without losing any game. I would have been the only player to win him if I had won this game. Well that is the game for you. Anyways I am improving and that's what matters.
