Welcome to my blog, where I talk about the games I play, my experience while playing them, and anything game-related.
So this time it was not a chess960 tournament, rather it was standard, but even with that, I only had an okay performance. Nothing too special, and I finished in 5th place. A performance of 1903 with a win rate of 55% and a 100% berserk rate. It is still weighing better than yesterday's performance. I am also still trying to become consistent with my performance in playing good chess. Sometimes it is a good ride, and other times it is super messy.
This is a one game I enjoyed playing against iamchessguy. It is because it was a battle between my knight, bishop, and I had more pawns. I had two pawns that were passed pawns, and it was easy for me to get the edge with moving pawns, and it would be hard for him to find the best moves. The other player is the person who has to look for the tough moves and not me. Make it even easier for me. I ended the game by choking the king with my pawns, then combined with my knight and bishop.

I lost a lot of games to Rosmarly yesterday in the chess960 tournament; it was cool to get a win against her in this tournament. After making the blunderous pawn move f4, I knew the queen was trapped, and all I needed to do was attack it with my rook, and I did. Gladly, I found it fast. Rh5 attacks the trapped queen with no room for escape. The only option is to capture the rook, which she did. After the capture of the rook, there was still some resistance from white, but I won the game on time.

This game is an example of how a single check can change the course of the game. My opponent was winning in this game, but a simple check changed everything. The bishop became trapped, and it can not be saved. That is how I was able to balance the game, but later on, I gained the edge when I created a passed pawn, which made his position a bit more precarious, coupled with the time. But I won the game on time instead.

5th place is not all bad, and it is way better. Hopefully, I will become consistent later on in playing well over time.
