As the year comes to an end, we take a break, slowly breathe out as we reflect on how we've journeyed from January, overcoming challenges and still managing to pull through till this month of December that comes to an end in a few days. Welcome to my blog friends and to an interesting #prompt for the week by community and the theme is "what are the struggles and joy that come with the year ending?"
Honestly, this year 2025 hasn't been the best with all the economic instability that affects everything. Increments here and there without considerations for salary earners and health challenges. Almost everyone sets goals to be achieved when a new year starts, and before it ends we hope to have achieved them. The thing about reality is that not everything we plan, irrespective of how good those plans are turns out the way we expected. We might become anxious or even agitated because of the waiting period.
That is my situation too. Having set out plans to be achieved before the end of 2025 and now the year ends in just a few weeks. It hurts and it made me anxious, I felt I didn't do enough, maybe I should have made extra efforts to achieve my goals. Such thoughts steers emotional breakdown and if we are not careful, we will loose the strength needed to chase those goals.
Instead of focusing on my struggles, I focus on my achievements, no matter how little, it's still a step forward. Gratitude helps me see how far I've come, how I survived even with all the obstacles and my quiet progress that may not been by others except me.
I'm thankful for my little victories and I know I still have other opportunities to try again next year, this alone makes me happy because I would be able to try again but using different strategies as I've learned from my struggles and grew in knowledge to better achieve my goal next year.
I'm grateful for life and since life itself isn't perfect, we will keep trying and not give up until our goal is realized.
This is my entry to this week #prompt on Struggles and Joy that come with the year ending and I invite
and
to participate in the contest.
