Hello Hive World, this is from Karachi, Pakistan.
Once again, I’ve been invited by with a very interesting prompt, huge thanks to the team for that.
So, today’s topic is about work. At some point or another, almost all of us start seeing work as a burden. Office workers get fed up with office tasks, government employees with policies and pressure, drivers with endless traffic and exhausting commutes, kids with their schoolwork, in short, everyone is caught up in some kind of struggle. I’m not saying no one in this world is happy with their work, but honestly, the majority feels this way. And yes, I’m part of that club too 🤪.
But here’s the real question: what exactly is the relationship between life and work? Let’s dig a little deeper. A few years ago (around 3 or 4), I took a two-week leave from my job. Coincidentally, I had absolutely no plans during that time, no traveling, no weddings to attend, no household maintenance work, basically, my mind and body were completely free. Want to know the truth? Just four days in, I started feeling unwell. Food felt heavy on my chest, nothing gave me joy anymore, not eating, not watching movies, not scrolling YouTube or Facebook reels 😅.
That’s when I got plenty of time to reflect, and I realized something: it’s actually work and a morning routine that give you the drive to live. The moment my holidays ended and I got back to the office, my health improved. My routine was restored, and life felt normal again.
So then, what was “abnormal”? It was the absence of work. And my serious verdict is this: we live to work. If there’s no work in life, the very idea of living starts to feel blurry.
Nowadays, work has evolved so much that people actually choose their passion as their career, and just take off with it. For example, people traveling around the world on a bike, what an adventure! Many leave their regular jobs and start vlogging. Another amazing example is food vlogging, I mean, what could be better than that? 😋
