Be a Leader, Not a Boss.
In the acronyms of MAN O' WAR, the letter 'A' stands for; act as a leader, not as a Boss. What I see around me most of the time are Bosses who use commands and money to declare their intentions.
Boss is someone who thinks but doesn't reason anything good about the masses or those under him/her.
The board(Bosses) of Nigeria youth service corps (NYSC) in Nigeria just work up yesterday and ordered posting letters should be sent to every registered person of the NYSC to avail he/herself at the appropriate center been posted to on Thursday and some Friday. The Bosses have spoken and never thought about how hard things are for the citizens, how they will raise money for traveling far or near. Posting letters are supposed to be posted a month or more before the day so that one can prepare beforehand knowing fully where you have been posted and the cost of leaving. Many people in my school WhatsApp group have been posted to where transportation fees are over #10,000 and things are costly.
Kidnappers in many states and bandits but as corps members, we ought to serve our fatherland but how can you serve when you are kidnapped, dead, or robbed of your belongings when the Bosses children have been posted to a safe place living a good life.
The University I graduated from usually gives two weeks at most to do registration and late registration a week. You pay an extra #10,000 for late registration when someone is struggling to source for school fees and pay. Some student lost their parent during attacks on villages by Boko-Haram, bandits, and other disputes. The Bosses of the school know the current situation of the country but choose to be the Bosses instead of being the leaders.
Compulsory services as they said if you are 30 years and below but why make Coronavirus vaccine compulsory too for the corps members? What if I am been given the injection and immediately I died? The government will still claim to be the Boss they are always, seeing only carcass in the casket that can not speak for himself. No one is entitled to freedom until you are a Boss.
Bosses of the country banned some foreign goods but in their homes, it's all filled with foreign properties that are banned for poor masses. I see their consciousness is stick to their money and nothing more than to just be the Bosses with commands to carry out. Military Bosses give commands but have never gone to the battlefield to check on the "juniors" only a true leader does that.
A true leader leads and people follow
Live by example
Think about people more than himself
Believing in the dreams and vision of the good masses.
A leader will want to train more leaders.
A Leader has brains
