Jordan Howman, a 34-year-old British plasterer from Crewe, was deported from Dubai shortly after arriving for a £3,000 holiday with his fiancée and daughter. Despite having visited the UAE before, he was detained at passport control for six hours and told that his prominent facial tattoos, including words like "blessed," "family," and "crazy life", made him inadmissible. His passport was confiscated, and he was sent back to the UK without explanation beyond the tattoos. Devastated by the experience, he says he will never return to Dubai. There is no official ban on tattoos in the UAE, but authorities have the discretion to deny entry.
