This morning, I went to the nearest police box just to be safe, and the officer who took my report told me that the wallet had already been turned in to the police station. I was really surprised because I had assumed I would never see it again, but I'm so glad it worked out.
I've decided to stop going out with just my wallet… I'll make sure to always carry it properly in a bag or something 😭
