Good evening, it's Penta.
Blimey, it's been ages since I last updated the blog (about a year, I reckon).
Oh no, I'm still alive, sort of 🤣
Well, I'm updating X bit by bit, but I've been slacking off like mad with the HIVE blog 😅
Well, I suppose I ought to write something...
Lately I've been spending quite a lot of time on M2E, and I thought it a waste just to walk around, so I've been reading while walking.
Though by reading, I mean listening to things like Amazon Audible, mind you.
This is rather good, allowing me to read quite a lot.
But simply reading means I'll just forget it all, so I thought writing book reviews on my blog might be a good idea – that's the idea behind this.
Right then, Penta's book reviews are about to begin~ 🤣
ナミヤ雑貨店の奇跡 東野圭吾
I've read quite a lot of Keigo Higashino's work, and it really is wonderfully readable, isn't it?
That said, the sheer volume of his output means there are inevitably some hits and misses.
The last book I read was 『白夜行』, but that was rubbish...
I checked reviews on YouTube and such before buying it, but I couldn't understand why it had such high ratings...
It left such a bad taste in my mouth 😭
Well, I suppose I'll write my thoughts on 『白夜行』 at some point too...
So, the next book I read was this one, 『ナミヤ雑貨店の奇跡』.
Blimey, this was brilliant!
It really made me think, this is what reading should be all about!
Given its fantasy elements, readers expecting a pure mystery might feel let down...
But honestly, that became completely irrelevant—it absolutely hit home for me!
The theme of people answering counselling queries was previously a topic of discussion online, and I imagine there are various examples...
Even so, it makes you wonder whether people can be this kind...
For those like me who've grown weary of work efficiency dogma and cryptocurrency's 'you're on your own' mentality, this book absolutely hits home!
I hope to read many books like this and remain a kind person to others, even as I grow older.
And I'm racking my brains trying to figure out how on earth to get my book-shunning son to read this book 🤣

いや～久しぶりのブログ更新になります（約１年ぶりかな）
いやいや、生きてますよ、一応🤣
まあXの方はぼちぼち更新していますが、ＨＩＶＥブログの方はもうさぼりまくってますね😅
それでまあ、何か書かないとと思いつつ・・・
最近はM2Eにかなり長時間費やすことが多くて、ただ歩いているだけじゃもったいないと思って、歩きながら読書しているんですよね
読書といってもAmazon Audibleのように聞くやつですけどね
だけどこれがなかなか良くて、たくさん読書できます
それで読んだだけでは忘れていくだけなので、感想文をブログに書いておくのもありかなと思ったのが今回の趣旨です

ナミヤ雑貨店の奇跡 東野圭吾
東野圭吾はかなり読んでいるのですが、本当に読みやすくていいですよね～
ただ作品数があまりにも多いので当たりはずれがあるのも事実ですね
この前に読んだのが『白夜行』だったけど、あれはダメだった・・・
YouTubeとかで評判などを確認してから買ったのですが、なんであれが高評価なのかよく分からなかったです・・・
もう、後味が悪すぎでした😭
まあ『白夜行』についてもそのうち感想文書くと思いますが・・・
それで、その次に読んだのがこの『ナミヤ雑貨店の奇跡』
いや～これは良かったですね！
やっぱり読書ってこういうものじゃないとねって思いました！
ファンタジー要素があるので、純粋なミステリーを期待して読むと肩透かしを食らうかもしれませんが・・・
そんなことはどうでも良くなるくらい、自分には刺さりまくりました！
悩み相談に答える人、というテーマは以前ネットでも話題になっていたし、いろいろ例はあると思いますが・・・
それでも、人はここまでやさしくなれるのかっていう・・・
仕事の効率主義とか、仮想通貨の自己責任主義とかに疲れた自分みたいな人には、絶対刺さるといます！
こういう本をたくさん読んで、年をとっても人にやさしい自分でありたいと思いますね～
そしてなんとかして、本嫌いの息子にこの本を読ませる方法はないものかと考えてます🤣
