I went to see the plum blossoms at Kitano Tenmangu again this year. Since Kitano Tenmangu is only about a 10-minute walk from my house, I went despite feeling a bit hesitant.
The reason for my hesitation was that Kitano Tenmangu has a plum garden. I'm pretty sure last year the general admission fee was 1,200 yen, but this year, because there's an artist installation exhibition inside the plum garden, general admission is 2,800 yen for advance tickets and 3,000 yen at the gate.
Honestly, I was too annoyed to enter the garden this time. I do enjoy art appreciation, but I figured the exhibition period is still long, so I skipped it this time. But the plum blossoms within the shrine grounds are only about 50% in bloom.
I'm still torn about whether to go see them in February. However, I also want to visit other museums, which makes me even more indecisive.
Today, while still within the temple grounds, I took photos of the plum blossoms outside the garden. I love the sweet fragrance of plum blossoms. The colors?white, red, and pink?were delightful. It was warm and perfect for flower viewing. Quite a few visitors were out, and there were food stalls too.
I want to go out several times this year, or rather, go see some art, but I really need to build up my stamina...

今年も北野天満宮の梅を見てきました。北野天満宮は自宅から徒歩10分ぐらいと近いので、もやもやしながらも行ってきました。
なぜもやもやしていたかと言うと、北野天満宮の中には梅苑があるのですが、確か昨年は入苑料が一般が1200円だったはずなのですが、今年は梅苑内にアーティストのインスタレーション展示があるため、一般が前売2800円、当日3000円なのです。
さすがにもやもやし過ぎて今回は梅苑に入れませんでした。私は美術鑑賞は好きなのですが、まあまだ会期は長いしと思って今回は入りませんでした。でも境内の梅は五分咲きと
か。観るなら２月中かなとやっぱり迷います。しかしほかにも美術館に行きたいしな、と思うとますます迷います。
今日は境内ではありますが、梅苑の外側の梅の写真を撮りました。梅の花はいい香りがして好きです。色も白、紅、ピンクとあって楽しめました。暖かくてお花見日和でした。お客さんは結構いて、露店も出ていました。
今年は何回かお出かけというか、美術鑑賞に行きたいのですが、体力つけなきゃなあ……。
