Hello everyone!!
How are you all today? I hope all is well, and everyone is happy and healthy!!
Today, I'm going to share with you my top five favorite sports anime.
My Top Five Favorite Sports Anime
Source
The anime MAJOR is my top one sports anime because this was the very first sports anime that I watched and had fallen in love with.
The story follows the life of Goro Honda (Shigeno) from his childhood days all throughout his professional baseball career. The story focuses on his perseverance through adversity. It showcases the depth of character development, from his childhood struggles as a baseball player to his emotional struggles of losing his parents.
I love Goro's perseverance and resilience. He didn’t give up until he became a professional baseball player who play in the biggest baseball stage. MAJOR will always stay in my heart forever.

My second top sports anime is Haikyuu!.
The story is inspirational. My heart goes out to Hinata Shoyo, from being the underdog to becoming a star player. However, I love almost all of the characters in the series, be it from Karasuno or the other rival teams like Nekoma, Aoba Johsai, Shiratorizawa and so on.
What I like the best in this series is their friendship, teamwork, perseverance and self-discovery of individuals' skills and talents that can help each team to improve or to evolve. I love to watch this anime over and over again!! In fact, I watched it around 5 times, but it’s nothing compared to my daughter , who is so much more addicted to it. I believe she has watched the series 12 times already.🤭🥰

Third on my list is Dia No Ace or Ace of Diamond!
It’s another baseball anime that I like. Unlike MAJOR, which is more of a baseball drama anime, this one focuses more on the games and strategies as a team. And who would forget the loudness of Sawamura Eijun..?? 🙂 In addition, his lively or fiery eyes are what I also love the most. There are a lot of likeable characters in this anime series too. I've rewatched this twice already.
There are two entries on my fourth spot. They both weigh equally in my heart, and they’re both basketball anime. They are Slam Dunk and Kuroko's Basketball!!
These two basketball anime are both popular, but they differ significantly in their approach and focus. Slam Dunk for its realistic portrayal of basketball, character development, especially Sakuragi…heheh, and the importance of teamwork and perseverance. While Kuroko No Basket focuses on fantasy-like and intense actions. I love both of them equally.

My fifth is also a tie... Prince of Tennis and Yowamushi Pedal.
I just really love the two cute main characters from both series. Echizen Ryoma from Prince of Tennis is an inspiration. This anime series is a kind of fantastical sports. It features exaggerated techniques that add a layer of excitement to the matches. I love how they evolve in every match or game. A lot of characters in this series still leave a mark on my thoughts.
Yowamushi Pedal on the other Hand is a sports anime focusing on competitive cycling and it follows the journey of a timid anime-loving high school student, Onoda Sakamichi. This series is known for its character development, vibrant visuals and inspirational storytelling. And I love to sing along with Onoda when he climbs and sings his power song. "Love Hime". The series has a beautiful story too.
I've been really hooked on sports anime even at my age now of 57, thanks a lot to my daughter , who influenced me to watch anime based on my preferences. To be honest, it helps me a lot emotionally. Watching anime is really a stress reliever. In fact, there are still a lot of sports anime that I like aside from the ones I mentioned above. They are:
- Blue Lock
- Free
- Inazuma Eleven and Inazuma Eleven Go
- Yuri On Ice
- Eyeshield 21
- Skate Infinity
These are all that I can still remember so far.
How about you guys, are you also into sports anime? It is really fun to watch this kind of anime series.
That would be all for now, and see you around.
Thank you so much for stopping by and God bless..🙏❣
