Hello, how are you, friends of the TAR community It's a pleasure to share here. I wish you a happy new year full of blessings and prosperity; I hope you had a wonderful time with your family. Today I'm here to talk to you about my love and obsession with Studio Ghibli films. They are some of the most beautiful films where we can see the fragility of humanity, of life, and how magic flourishes. These are stories that leave a lasting impression on you: some make you cry a lot, and others fill you with excitement. I want to share my three favorite films to date with you. If you haven't seen them, please don't hesitate to do so.
Grave of the Fireflies - Official Trailer
Grave of the Fireflies (1988): The editing and all the details are incredible; it is extremely unique and one of the studio's most talked-about films. It is a fairly raw and realistic war film, but at the same time very sweet. It tells us about the love between siblings and shows the hardest side of people when we are in critical situations. If you are very sensitive, you may find it difficult to watch, but in the end it leaves you with something very beautiful: there is beauty even in sadness.
Kiki's Delivery Service - Official Trailer
Kiki: Delivery Service (1989): Released a year later, this film offers us a beautiful lesson and reflection accompanied by magic and joy. It tells the story of a young witch named Kiki who, upon reaching a certain age, must leave home to grow up, mature, and learn to fend for herself in society. It teaches us how important it is to believe in our talents and have confidence in ourselves.
My Neighbor Totoro - Official Trailer
My Neighbor Totoro (1988): It's a wonderful film! It's about nature, full of joy and magic. Watching it, I felt an immediate sense of calm. I loved the editing, the creativity of the characters, and, of course, Totoro and the Catbus (about whom, by the way, there is a short film that I am trying to get hold of to watch). It is a true masterpiece and one of my all-time favorites. There is a lot of sentimentality and reflection in these stories. I hope to continue bringing you my impressions of the ones I watch in the future. Have a nice weekend!
