Akame Ga Kill (AGK) is by far my favorite anime. And the thing is that nowadays it's very easy to fall in love with super series like HxH, Naruto, SNK or BLEACH. To say that any of those series is my favorite would be like turning my back on Akame Ga Kill which, although it is not a super production like the previous ones, at the moment I saw it I loved it and it had everything I was looking for in the world of anime. I don't want to say that I don't like the previous ones, I do like them, but they are hits and you have to like the hits because they are the best.
In case you haven't seen it, AGK is presented as a dark series, but full of humorous moments. Immediately we realize that those two things are very difficult to bring together in a series and AKG mastered it almost to perfection. The plot revolves around a kind of organization of vigilante revolutionary assassins fighting against corruption in the capital of a kingdom. In the series we are introduced to characters with strong characters and well-developed personalities, closely related to their combat skills. And although these personalities are the typical cliché personalities of the anime of the time, I would say that the interaction between them is quite enjoyable.

Akame Ga Kill (AGK) es por mucho mi anime favorito. Y la cuestión es que hoy en día es muy fácil enamorarse de súper series como son HxH, Naruto, SNK o BLEACH. Decir que alguna de esas series es mi favorita, sería como darle la espalda a Akame Ga Kill que, si bien no es una súper producción como las anteriores, en el momento en que la vi me encantó y tenía todo lo que venía buscando en el mundo del anime. Ojo, no quiero decir que no me gusten las anteriores, si me gustan, pero es que son éxitos y los éxitos tienen que gustarte porque son los mejores.Por si no la han visto, les cuento que AGK se nos presenta como una serie oscura, pero bien cargada de momentos de humor. De inmediato nos damos cuenta de que esas dos cosas son muy difíciles de llevar a la par en una serie y AKG lo dominaba casi a la perfección. La trama ronda alrededor de una especie de organización de asesinos revolucionarios justicieros que luchan contra la corrupción que hay en la capital de un reino. En la serie se nos presentan personajes de marcado carácter y personalidades bien desarrolladas, muy a relacionadas con sus habilidades de combate. Y aunque dichas personalidades son las típicas personalidades cliché de los animes de la época, yo diría que es bien disfrutable la interacción entre ellos.

From chapter 2 we are shown several types of enemy, but highlighting 2 main types. The "Jeager" are the enemies that confront them directly and the "Corrupted" are the enemies of the empire that operate from the shadows. Here I want to mention the character of "Wave" which with its mere existence invites us to reflect on the possibility that the bad guys and the good guys were equal people but separated by the corrupt ideologies of the capital.
In the technical section we have a great job by the artist in terms of scenarios that, although they almost always made more effort in the daytime, the night scenarios were also well done. The soundtrack is very enjoyable to the point of having a song or two going around in my head. By the way, I must mention that in certain scenes (which I won't mention) the soundtrack can bring a tear or two to your eye.

El personaje principal (Katsumi) muestra una progresión desde el principio, tanto a nivel personal como de combate. Siendo una pieza clave en la última pelea que da final a la serie. Desde el capítulo 2 nos muestran varios tipos de enemigo, pero destacándose 2 tipos principales. Los “Jeager” son los enemigos que los enfrentan directamente y los “Corruptos” son los enemigos del imperio que operan desde las sombras. Aquí quiero mencionar al personaje de “Wave” el cual con su mera existencia nos invita a reflexionar sobre la posibilidad de que los malos y los buenos fueran personas iguales peros separadas por las ideologías corruptas de la capital.En el apartado técnico tenemos un gran trabajo por parte del dibujante en cuanto a escenarios que, aunque casi siempre se esforzaban más en los de día, los escenarios nocturnos también estaban bien hechos. La banda sonora es muy disfrutable llegando al punto de tener una que otra canción dándome vueltas en la cabeza. Por cierto, no dejar de mencionar que en ciertas escenas (que no voy a mencionar) la banda sonora te puede sacar una o dos lagrimitas.

I'll start by saying that they really had to improve in the design of the characters, mainly the female ones. From the first moment I felt that they were reusing many of the facial features in the female characters, which are the most abundant in the series. The other thing they could have improved were the denouements of the main characters' stories, I felt them super forced and sometimes even a bit out of logic. But well, I understand that I'm judging a series from several years ago using criteria from more modern times and in my opinion it wouldn't be fair.
And, well, that's my favorite anime that the moment I saw it I realized that it was loaded with blood, love, hate, passion, curls and craziness. A real roller coaster and emotions about which I have not wanted to go into depth at this time so as not to make spoilers to those who have not seen it. So if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend this anime, which is my favorite anime to date.

Pero bueno, todo no puede ser color de rosas y aunque sea mi anime favorito no está libre de la crítica. Empezaré diciendo que de verdad tenían que mejorar en el diseño de los personajes, principalmente los femeninos. Desde el primer momento sentí que estaban reutilizando muchos de los rasgos faciales en los personajes femeninos, que son los que más abundan en la serie. Lo otro que podían haber mejorado eran los desenlaces de las historias de los personajes principales, los sentí super forzados y algunas veces incluso un poco salidos de lógica. Pero bueno, entiendo que estoy juzgando una serie de hace ya varios años usando criterios de épocas más modernas y a mi parecer no sería justo.Y, pues bien, ese es mi anime favorito que al momento de verlo me di cuenta de que venía cargada de sangre, amor, odio, pasión, rizas y locuras. Una verdadera montaña rusa y emociones sobre las cuales no he querido profundizar en este momento para no hacerle espóileres a quien no lo ha visto. Así que si no lo has visto te súper recomiendo este anime que al día de hoy es mi anime favorito.
