Hola amigos de de la comidad amantes del anime y del manga, para hacer mi participación en el concurso EL MEJOR VILLANO DEL ANIME SHONEN quiero hablar sobre el que considero el mejor villano de todos los tiempos en la historia del anime. Se que es una aseveración un poco presuntuosa pero es que el personaje llena los requisitos de en la construcción de un villano memorable.
To talk about Makoto Shishio we must put it in its proper context, we are talking about a divided Japan on the brink of civil war, one caste refuses to lose its privileges while the other wants to modernize the country. Shishio is part of the group that wants the modernization of Japan, he is ideologically positioned the same as Kenshin Himura, however Shishio is vilely betrayed by his government to the point that they tried to kill him with a shot to the head and setting him on fire. From this resurrection from the flames of hell, as he himself says, a different person will be reborn to lead Japan to what he believes is its true destiny.
Para hablar de Makoto Shishio hay que ponerlo en su debido contexto, hablamos de un Japon dividido al borde una guerra civil, una casta se niega a perder sus privilegios mientras la otra quiere modernizar el pais. Shishio forma parte del grupo que desea la modernizacion de Japon, esta ideologicamente posicionado igual que Kenshin Himura, sin embargo Shishio es vilmente traicionado por su gobierno al punto de que intentaron matarlo con un disparo en la cabeza y prendiendolo en fuego. De esta resurrección de las llamas del infierno, como el mismo lo dice, renacerá una persona diferente para conducir a Japon a lo que el cree es su verdadero destino.

Lo que mas llama la atención de Makoto Shishio es su ideología, algunos han llegado a catalogarla de una especie de darwiniso social, pues Shishio se la pasa repitiendo como un mantra que: SI ERES FUERTE PERO SI ERES DEBIL MUERES. Bajo esta premisa conduce su destino y unirlo al de Japon. Recluta a los peores asesinos y traficantes de armas para organizar su propio ejercito que le permita ir por el poder. Con toda la fortuna que posee adquiere un barco de guerra capaz de bombardear las costas de la ciudad de Kioto y sembrar el terror.
Shishio's genius lies in his twisted sense of justice where with a dark cynicism he usually presents his motivations and although it is not his interest to persuade their opponents with words, with his iron will to power he attracts them. He can convince you that your motives are the most just because he sees everything from his ideology. For him, the great problem of Japan is its weakness, he claims that if Japan cannot overcome its internal problems, foreign countries will colonize them. He plans to replace the leaders by proposing himself as the most capable thanks to the survival of the fittest.
La genialidad de Shishio radica en su sentido retorcido de la justicia donde con un oscuro cinismo suele presentar sus motivaciones y aunque no es su interes persuadir en sus contrarios con las palabras, con su ferrea voluntad de poder los atrae. El puede convencerte de que sos motivos son los mas justos porque todo lo ve desde su ideología. Para él, el gran problema de Japón es su debilidad, alega que si Japón no puede superar sus problemas internos los paises extranjeros los colonizarán. El planea reemplazar a los líderes proponiendose a sí mismo como el más capacitado gracias a la supervivencia del más apto.

A nivel psicologico Shishio manipula a las personas para su beneficio, no tiene reparos en unirse a los peores asesinos. Utiliza habilmente las motivaciones de quienes le rodean y es tan astuto que su liderazgo se basa tanto en el terror como en la recompensa, los mas fieles a Shishio son persona anuladas bajo su presencia que el manipula como títeres. Reinar bajo el terror y la muerte es su idealización del orden y la evolución del mas fuerte. El tiene una vision propia de lo que debe ser Japon, dice que los debiles deben ser el alimento del fuerte, es asi que en la batalla final cuando van todos los guerreros a detenerlo el exclama gustoso: MAS ALIMENTO PARA MI.
Apart from his magnetic personality, absulte coldness and sharp intelligence, Makoto Shishio was a visionary. Rorouni Kenshin was a story that left us with great battles and well-constructed and elaborate characters. Rorouni Kenshin fue una historia que nos dejó grandes batallas y personajes bien construidos y elaborados. Si bien las batallas estaban en un segundo plano, esta historia se caracterizaba por mostrarnos las diversas ideas de aquella época. Nos enseñaba que las mas grandes batallas eran ideologicas por eso veiamos en los capitulos un desarrollo lento de las acciones mezclada con una comicidad que relajaba muy bien la tension en los momentos cruciales. Por eso vimos grandes discuros por parte de los protagonistas siendo Shishio el mas carismatico de todos.

La mayoría de los villano son planos en sus motivaciones, generalmente siguen un plan absurdo unicamente para saciar un rencor y un deseo de venganza del cual luego se dan cuenta que es un fracaso y terminan haciendo una acción que los redime y toman esta decisión al borde de la muerte. Shishio es todo lo contrario, su voluntad de poder es tan fuerte que lo lleva a luchar por encima de sus capacidades físicas, recordemos que sufrió quemaduras qye destruyeron las capas mas importante de su piel. Al verse vencido por un azar del destino unicamente se entrega al placer de rei maniaticamente en el ultimo instante de su vida para luego aparecer en el infierno con una sonrisa triunfante, asegurando que va a luchar contra el mismo diablo por el control del infierno. En Shishio no hay redención ni arrepentimiento, su voluntad es la única verdad y por ella gobernará por encima del mismo diablo. Este es el cierre de uno de los mejores villanos jamás creados anteriormente.

Y a el no le importaba en lo mas minimo usarlos para sus fines, a fin y al cabo si le obedecían es porque eran débiles. Una de sus mejores frases es cuando le dice a Ouji, su lugarteniente: "Crees en el infierno? Este mundo está acostumbrado a lavar la sangre con más..."
I hope you liked my entry into the contest with Makoto Shishio, I am aware that in the anime world there are very deep and great villains, but after seeing so many animes I think that very few can take elements of human reality, the context history and debate on the right and wrong as it is done with the personality of Shishio. Espero que les haya gustado mi entrada al concurso con Makoto Shishio, estoy al tanto de que en el mundo del anime hay villanos muy profundos y geniales, pero luego de ver tantos animes creo que muy pocos pueden tomar elementos del la realidad humana, el contexto historio y debatir sobre lo correcto e incorrecto como se hace con la personalidad de Shishio. Aunque el regimen de Japón trato de borrar de la historia al final Shishio tuvo la razón y prevaleció su voluntad y no la de Kenshin aunque los resultados fueron nefastos.
