We finally got some new information about the OP remake. There will be 7 episodes, each 40-43 minutes long, with 7 chapters per episode or something. If I remember correctly, the original had 3.5 chapters per episode, so the pacing is still too weak. I'll probably watch it, but not until a few years from now. I won't pretend I'm terribly disappointed, especially since the OP's opening drags on like a stinker (not to mention we saw it in the series recently). Season 1 is supposed to end with us meeting Sanji... Ugh, I was getting annoyed thinking they'd only cover the plot of Season 1, but they didn't even do that.
As I said a while ago, ever since I watched Jojo Bizzare Adventure, I can't watch most battle shounen because it's like watching a snail race. One Piece, with only 3.5 chapters per 20 minutes, will be just as boring. If only they'd put in 10 chapters to get over the terrible beginning. Naruto has a very nice introduction. In DB and Bleach, there's constantly something happening; it's not hideously boring like in OP or HxH. In Jojo, they somehow managed to manage the pacing while simultaneously stuffing the episode with content from the manga, so I don't accept that excuse.
However, let's not say I'm just complaining. I like the art, and the animation will probably be very good too; after all, the studio behind Attack on Titan is responsible for it. However, from OP, I expect a story above all, and only occasionally some nice animation. On the other hand, if a remake like this has to be made, it's better if they do it once and do it properly. Toei Animation's anime has already exhausted even the biggest fans of the series, and aside from wealthy lunatics with too much free time (or children, who usually also have too much time), no one will be able to catch up with the number of episodes. It's easier and better to just read the manga. And speaking of manga, maybe the animators at Wit Studio will manage to partially minimize Oda's problems. This won't help with the biggest problems like too many characters, too much organization, and sometimes unnecessary plotlines, but it might make them less irritating.
W końcu dostaliśmy nowe informacje na temat remake'u OP. Będzie 7 odcinków, każdy po 40-43 minuty, 7 rozdziałów na odcinek czy coś. Z tego co pamiętam w oryginalne było 3.5 rozdziału na odcinek, więc to nadal za słaby pacing. Pewnie obejrzę, ale dopiero za parę lat. Nie będę udawał, że jestem bardzo rozczarowany, tym bardziej że początek OP ciągnie się jak smród po gaciach (nie wspominając o tym, że niedawno widzieliśmy to w serialu). S1 ma się zakończyć na poznaniu Sanjiego... Ech, a ja wkurzałem się, myśląc że pokryją jedynie fabułę S1 serialu, a nie zrobili nawet tego.
Tak jak mówiłem jakiś czas temu, odkąd obejrzałem Jojo Bizzare Adventure, to nie jestem w stanie oglądać większości battle shounenów, bo to tak jakbym oglądał wyścig ślimaków. One Piece ekranizując jedynie 3.5 chaptera na 20 minut będzie właśnie tak nudne. Gdyby dali przynajmniej 10 rozdziałów, by przeżyć fatalny początek. Naruto ma bardzo fajne wprowadzenie. W DB i Bleachu ciągle coś się dzieje, nie ma ohydnej nudy jak w OP, czy HxH. W Jojo jakoś zdołali ogarnąć pacing, przy jednoczesnym wypchaniu odcinka contentem z mangi, więc nie przyjmuję wytłumaczenia.
Aczkolwiek żeby nie było, że tylko narzekam. Kreska mi się podoba, animacja pewnie też będzie bardzo dobra, w końcu odpowiada za to studio od Attack on Titan. Od OP jednak wymagam przede wszystkim fabuły i tylko czasem ładnej animacji. Z drugiej strony, skoro taki remake musi powstać, to w sumie lepiej, jak zrobią go raz, a porządnie. Anime od Toei Animation zmęczyło już nawet największych fanów serii i pomijając bogatych wariatów z nadmiarem wolnego czasu (lub dzieci, które też z reguły mają nadmiar czasu), nikt go nie będzie nadrabiał przez ilość odcinków. Łatwiej i lepiej po prostu przeczytać mangę. A skoro o niej mowa, może animatorom z Wit Studio uda się częściowo zminimalizować problemy po stronie Ody. To nie pomoże na największe problemy w postaci nadmiaru postaci, organizacji, czasem niepotrzebnych wątków, ale może sprawią, że będą mniej irytujące.
